Squaring the Circle - The Story of Hipgnosis

Anton Corbijn, the brilliant music video auteur, iconic photographer, and director of Ian Curtis biopic Control spins some historical wax as he gets into the grooves behind some the most iconic album cover art of all time.

Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey "Po" Powell form the iconic album art design studio Hipgnosis and become rock royalty during the 1970s. They create some of the most recognizable album covers of all time, including Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon’, with 2023 marking the iconic cover’s 50th anniversary. The team’s work graced the LPs and the gatefolds of Wings, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC across the golden era of 1970s.

Featuring recollections from wall-to-wall musicians including the likes of Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, David Gilmour and Roger Waters along with Noel Gallagher and Peter Gabrial, this wildly entertaining showcase is a must for music lovers, fans and anyone who likes to judge a record by its cover.
