This November, we are pleased to bring the finest British filmmaking, production and acting to Australian cinemas with the 2023 Cunard British Film Festival presented by Palace. We are thrilled to again be partnering with Cunard who return for a second year as Naming Rights Partner.
The 2023 line up showcases the region’s superb filmmaking and acting talent, with many of Britain’s most enduring and well-known faces, including Sir Anthony Hopkins, Timothy Spall, Olivia Colman, Sir Ian McKellen, Helen Mirren, and more.
Our Opening Night selection, One Life, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, comes directly from its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, as does our Centrepiece The Critic, a wickedly mischievous reimagining of Anthony Quinn’s novel Curtain Call, featuring an all-star cast led by Sir Ian McKellen and Gemma Arterton.
We celebrate some of Britain’s Finest Leading Ladies with a special retrospective, plus, we are pleased to announce Marcus Markou, the director of engaging drama The Wife and Her House Husband will be visiting Sydney and Melbourne for a series of Q&A sessions.
